Cloud Drive Mapper (CDM) 3.18.1 (Pre-release) Hotfix

If you’re using CDM 3.18, we strongly recommend installing this hotfix, as it addresses critical issues related to .NET 8.0.13.

Customer-reported bug fixes

• 33193 (CDM client): We’ve fixed the issues related to CDM’s ability to authenticate. CDM will now authenticate seamlessly regardless of whether a proxy uses the http:// or http= prefix or despite a race condition with authentication.

• 33195 (CDM installer): This fix resolves the following issues:

  • The CDM installer will no longer generate the Load Core Module Failed error when Windows Update applies an update that includes .Net 8.0.13. and while doing so, leaves an empty folder at the following locations: C:\Program Files\dotnet\shared\Microsoft.WindowsDesktop.App and C:\Program Files\dotnet\shared\Microsoft.NETCore.App.

  • Installing CDM via the executable file will no longer lead to slow drive performance for folders containing office files, even when some shell extensions are not disabled.
